Klimate

Weather, with a reason
to get outside.

A weather app built around what you want to do. Describe an Activity in your own words; Apple’s Foundation Models help turn it into weather criteria that Swift code can evaluate against the forecast.

From creating an Activity to exploring weather radar, I’m building the experience from the app’s interface through the engineering underneath.

Interactive storytelling for iPad

The Beginner’s Bible

Little hands.
A world of stories.

An interactive storybook with games, coloring, puzzles, and more than 400 pages of content. A shipped project from my years building mobile experiences at HarperCollins.

I developed the iOS app and created StoryBook Builder, a visual authoring tool that helped the team turn illustrations and narration into interactive pages.

Behind the apps

Kraig Spear

A builder, from the first idea
to the smallest detail.

My experience spans native iOS apps, interactive media, and the tools that make them possible. I enjoy working through the hard parts: shaping an idea, finding the right architecture, and making the finished experience feel natural.

I bring the perspective of a lead engineer and the curiosity of someone who still loves writing the code.
